Brand new factory sealed vhs tape in a collectible oversized gatefold vacuform. These usually have the credits and sometimes photos on the inside gatefold cover. This has a couple of blemishes on the opposite back corners with a small wrinkle. The top corner actually looks like a piece of thread got lamnated between the substrate and the laminated paper artwork rather than a 'wrinkle'. Barely noticeable but priced accordingly.

Magnificently photographed by two-time Oscar winner Pasqualino De Santis. Yes, this is an Italian production, but it is in English. I haven't seen the film, but from what I can gleen, this is arthouse stuff like 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. An overcostumed Biblical story but with 1940s themes like jeeps and Nazis?

While Jesus is preaching with his disciples, John the Baptist is arrested by the king of Judea for the many defamatory sermons against the power of the monarchy. Herod, son of Herod the Great, imprisons John and princess SALOME secretly falls in love with him. But it is a corrupt and lustful love, which comes from lying insults that John turns to the corrupt family of Herod.

When Herod, on his daughters birthday asks her what her wish is, he grants it with the beheaded John. And so Salome performs the 'Dance of the Seven Veils', falling into sexual rapture, kissing full of passion the mouth of the severed head. Herod, horrified, puts to death his daughter.

The Frank Frazetta style cover is fake advertisng at its best. Jo Champa's name is misspelled on the front and back.
