Fisher. It becomes obvious while reading through the pages, that Fisher was probably a genius. His childhood is briefly touched on and the fact that he achieved in his studies. While still in high school he trained with the National Guard and won medals for his marksmanship. While still in his teens, he put an airplane together and learned to fly. During his time in the ROTC, he becomes a colonel. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering he begins work with the Pennsylvania Railroad, and then on to a short stint with the Ohio State Highway Department. When the War in Europe began, Fisher begins active duty as a Captain. His first duty is construction of an Air Force Base in Iceland. The story covers all of Fisher's amazing accomplishments during the war and afterwards. The book is complete and in VERY GOOD condition with some overall wear mainly to the dustjacket. On the front free endpaper, Dick Fishers wife has inscribed, "To Troy - with Best wishes, Joyce Perry Fisher". |
