159 page mass market paperback titled THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. #3: THE COPENHAGEN AFFAIR by John Oram/ Ace Books # G-564, Unstated printing, Copyright 1965 (50 cents cover)/ Two dozen novels were based upon Man From U.N.C.L.E. and published between 1965 and 1968. Unhampered by television censors, the novels were generally grittier and more violent than the televised episodes. The series sold in the millions, and was the largest TV-novel tie-in franchise until surpassed by Dark Shadows and Star Trek. The photos had already cost one life......and as the men from U.N.C.L.E. saw them projected on a screen in Alexander Waverly's office, they realized they were seeing a new weapon which could mean the deaths of billions more. For those secret photos showed an awesome new THRUSH weapon in action - huge, silent aircraft so incredibly swift and maneuverable that no nation's defense system could intercept them! The book is complete and in VERY GOOD condition with some overall wear. The insides of the front and back covers have browned and the inside pages are tanned. (see pictures) |
