Description
This is a nice vintage set of 6 paper mache' coasters in a matching box. They could be Highmount - I have two matching cocktail trays (also listed) that ARE marked Highmount.
MCM / 1950's.
Lovely paper mache round box has gold leaves/flowers, with red roses/green leaves.
The matching coasters had green leaves, with red roses.
The box is 4 5/8" in diameter.
The coasters are 4" in diameter.
All pieces are marked on the back: Made in Japan Alcohol Proof.
The condition is better than average for these. Tiny bit of wear on the design, and on the edges, but really quite minor.
Two of the coasters have slightly more wear to the design, but are still quite presentable.
The box is exceptional, too - Just a slight bit of wear to the gold / edges. Not bad.
From a smoke-free home.
