OTHER:  Pride of Madeira is an evergreen sub-shrub native to the island of Madeira Portugal, near Morocco. The beautiful yet tough plants are able to tolerate drought, rocky soil, & coastal conditions. They are also deer resistant. It has won a Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.

The flowers are very ornamental, blooming on huge 2' long spikes. The flowers are blue with red stamens, which gives it a fuzzy blue-violet look. Pride of Madeira’s flowers produce large amounts of nectar for bees including honey bees, & butterflies.
