So begins Carrie's education in survival on the streets of Manhattan.
The image depicts Florabelle (Lucille Ball) seated on a sidewalk next to a pile of clothing as people pass her by. Affixed to the verso is the orignal paper snipe that has been attached with clear Scotch tape as well as copy of this actual photograph as it appeared in a newspaper to advertise the showing. It is in fine+ condition as shown.
For this movie, which is set in the winter, Lucille Ball had to wear several layers of heavy clothes and as a result had to be hospitalized for dehydration. At this time, her doctors also informed her that she was allergic to cigarettes, which she had been smoking for 56 years.
