Measures 4-7/32" X 7-1/32", 224 pp, written by Philip Jose Farmer, cover art & b&w interior illustrations by ROY G. KRENKEL, stated "FIRST PRINTING, APRIL, 1974" and "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9," published by DAW Books (NY), DAW paperback #100 (UY1107).

Yet another contribution to the EDGAR RICE BURROUGHS tribute library, and (again!) by noted ERBophile PHILIP JOSE FARMER.  In this series, Farmer sends us back 12,000 years, to the riches-laden city of OPAR (to which TARZAN was to travel several times, centuries later).  ATLANTIS is still more fact than legend, and OPAR is one of its colonies, its riches spread along a now-forgotten inland sea.  Here lives Hadon, who challenges all obstacles and enemies, in his attempt to become the high ruler of OPAR.

As a special treat, the cover art & internal b&w maps and illustrations are the creations of well-known ERB illustrator ROY G. KRENKEL, who provided the covers & internal art for many of the original ERB Ace paperback editions in the 1960s.
