About the Subject
_____________________
Dave Foley well known for his lead roll in the comic group The Kids in the Hall from Canada and also for his starring role in the hit Sitcom WNYX News Radio. . I think I was drawn to painting him, not only for his comic ability, butthe dichotomy of his off screen personality and his on-screen persona.
Shortly after the death of his co-star and friend, Phil Hartman, his personal life and comic exuberance began to fade.
Dave is depicted here as the sadness of loss is washing through him.

Wood Prints
This is the closest you get to an actual wood painting. Wood is top grain and smooth 3/4" thick and offers a wide range of placement either wall mount, stand up or inlay.
White does not print, but allows the natural grain of the wood to show through (see image).
Wood grains vary so each piece has it's own one-of-a-kind character!

My first love has always been painting, which led me to study fine art with a focus on oils. My new liquid style fine art portrait series is painted on raised wood frames that help bring out an interesting and inviting texture beneath the oil. I have placed artworks in many galleries and Charity auctions, some of my works I have never released to the public and the original 24" x 24" work still hangs in my home.
