The original box on the inside is in really bad shape from being in storage since 2005.  The sleeve that the pen and pencil set are resting has a lot of staining.  Box outside is still intact and in good condition and not falling apart.

The eraser metal band is rusty and the pens plunger is stuck/sticking due to the cartridge leaked.  Please view the photos for these issues 

The pen and pencil set has bright vivid colors with no fading.  

Pen writes with blue ink ... pencil core is not filled with lead
