Christofle French silver flatware has been crafted by master artisans since 1830. The revolutionary style and character of Christofle dinnerware comes from collaborations with groundbreaking architects, designers, and artists from around the world. Commissioned by such figures as Pope Pius Ix and the Paris opera, Christofle creates timeless pieces that emphasize artistry and sophistication in every detail.
This Art Deco style model was created in 1986 by the designer Bernard Yot (born in 1944) for Christofle. Christofle begins the process by stamping the flatware in the chosen metal. After sandblasting, lacquer is applied in an 18-step process by hand. This tedious and careful process helps make Talisman solid and resistant. The flatwares' handles are coated with lacquer and then polished. The art of "Cloisinne" makes the Talisman cutlery from Christofle so elegant. This ancient technique brings together silverplate with enamel lacquer in an opulent design.
