This is a vintage, Mid Century pedestal fruit bowl in the Teardrop pattern by Indiana Glass. The Teardrop pattern was used between 1950 and 1980 when it was discontinued. I've had this bowl for about 20 years after purchasing it in an antique shop. Although I've classified it as a pedestal fruit bowl, I have also seen the piece described as both a floral base centerpiece and as a footed compote. The lovely glassware is a nice accent piece for formal and informal tables. Its in great shape, free from breaks or cracks. Its about 7.5" tall and 7.5" wide. The bowl portion is about 3.5" deep.
