The plants are now dormant, leafless, and carefully lifted from the beds, handled well, and they will be packed as bare root. Order now and all the way through early-Spring. The supply of these trees is good. Ships about 18+ inches... nice. These are the Dwarf size, so they will grow upwards of 10 feet tall.
A very popular variety, they make medium to large sweet fruit in the late Summer and into the Fall. These are self-fertile, but planting more than one, and mixing with other apple trees does increase your chances for fruit. Generally, as the pictures show, the flowers are small white like other apples. The can get up to 10 feet, but trimming can work well to maintain the shape and size you want. Hardy in most soils, good for Plant Zones 5 to 9, medium watering. They grow best in full sun, but partial shading fine as well. These are hefty and fast growing. Plant them singly or in an orchard, also lines as a border tree. And you can plant these with other apple varieties as a pollinator.
This tree is 2 year olds, typical root is nice, may have few fine roots. They are typically a single stem, with the tree varying from 18+ inches tall. Some were trimmed back in the Fall. Good hardy plants checked before packing.
Yes... they are self-pollinating, but having two or more trees, and/or different varieties, will increase the chances for fruiting. Check our other listings for other varieties.

Plan Early - Order Now - Plant Early... If you can work your ground, plant now. Give the tree time to acclimate to your soil and growing conditions. Waiting for spring is too late. Ponder this...

Generally plan on this:
If you live in the Southern half of the country, order starting November, and take delivery right away. Plant (or pot) the tree right away. You can plant as long as your ground is not frozen. Put a thick layer of mulch around it. Get planted by mid-April before the warmer weather arrives.
If you live in the Northern half of the country, order during the late Winter, and take delivery early. Pot up your tree and hold it in a dark, cool, moist location, that will get a minimal amount of light and some moisture, but cool enough to keep it dormant until you can plant it outdoors. Plant as soon as your ground thaws. After planting, put a thick layer of mulch around it.
Always best to add a thick mulch layer. Having a thick layer of mulch helps to conserve soil moisture, keeps the weeds down, and helps recycle the nutrients. A thick mulch layer also moderates the soil temperatures, which then reduces the stress on the roots.
