It is used as an adjuvant:
-in rheumatology: as an adjunct treatment of joint pain due to osteoarthritis;
-in dentistry: as an adjunctive treatment of periodontal diseases.
Composition:
The active substances are dry unsaponifiable extract of soybean oil 200.00 mg and dry unsaponifiable extract of avocado oil 100.00 mg.
Administration method:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Grown ups:
The recommended dose is one capsule of Piascledine per day.
The capsule should be swallowed whole with a glass of water during a meal. Don't chew it.
Use in children and adolescents:
Piascledine should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age due to a lack of data on safety and efficacy.
Contraindications:
Do not use Piascledine
- if you are allergic to avocado, soy, or any of the other ingredients
medicine (listed in section 6);
- if you are allergic to peanuts.
Precautions:
Do not exceed the recommended dose. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Piascledine.
Children and adolescents:
Piascledine is for adults only. Do not give this medicine to children under 18 years of age.
Piascledine with other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
Piascledine with food, drink and alcohol
The capsule should be swallowed whole, without chewing, with a glass of water during the meal.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. As a precautionary measure, it is preferable to avoid using Piascledine during
pregnancy.
Driving and using machines:
Piascledine does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
