Vintage 8 x 10 in. US single-weight glossy copy photograph (not a vintage original photo printed at the time it was taken) from the 1920's silent film comedy, THE DEMI-BRIDE, released in 1927 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and directed by Robert Z. Leonard

The image depicts Criquette (Norma Shearer) descending a staircase while gazing at the viewer. It is in very fine condition.

Vivacious young Criquette becomes enamored of Parisian dandy Philippe, and upon discovering that he is carrying on an affair with Madame Girard, her stepmother, she uses the information as a means of tricking him into marrying her. Philippe demurs but soon is captivated by her charm. Then Lola, a former sweetheart of the bridegroom, becomes intoxicated and goes to sleep in his bed; and Gaston, his valet, attempts to eject this woman and secretly notify the husband of the embarrassing situation. But Philippe is so convinced of his love for Criquette that he forgives Lola her indiscretion.
