This bowl was hand painted in Hong Kong.  The dragon and the phoenix are chasing the golden pearl.  There is lots of Japanese symbolism....all forecasts for a happy and prosperous life.   There are other mythical creatures around the rim...The bowl is cased in brass...it says on the bottom that it is an ash tray...I do not think that it was ever used for this purpose.  Beautiful bright reds and cobalt blue on white background.  7.75" diameter.
 

Preloved...but this hand painted bowl from Hong Kong looks  perfect to me.

Most of my items are vintage. Any vintage item should be considered used and should be expected to have some level of normal wear from age or storage.

I ship from a non smoking house, but I don't know the story of these items before I get them.  Some people may notice odors that I don't, so I can't say that they are odor free, smoke free, or pet free.
