Persian-Style Rug

 

There are no labels on this rug, so I cannot represent any facts regarding its "lineage", etc.  I think it is cotton, with 140 "knots" per square inch - BUT I CANNOT BE SURE.  I have no idea if this is hand knitted, but you can see "thread" terminations on the back. Approximately 128"x98". The tassels are 3.5" long.  I know this rug is, at least, 25 years old.

My wife just noticed 2 stains on the rug - it looks like something was spilled on it.  Both stains look like the same thing (she is guessing soda).  Since we are not professionals, we do not want to try and clean them out.  The decreased price reflects the newly discovered stains.
