Also known as Dancy Mandarin. Tends to bear more heavily in alternate years. While the parentage is unknown, the Dancy Tangarine is thought to be the result of crossing two mandarins each with some amount of Pomelo in their DNA.  This mandarin originated from the town of Tangier in Morocco where it got the name Tangerine which means: native of Tangier. Grafted onto semi-dwarf rootstock.
