this item is a slice of a redwood and hand painted with a scene. Each scene/painting is an original, This exposition was known as the Golden Gate Exposition of 1939. The paintings I was told were by Ernest B. Mooney and I can read on the painting that the beginning of the name has an "M", I cannot certify that this is by Ernest B. Mooney. The condition is good. It is a view of the San Francisco Bay as far as I can tell. The bark of the piece has a couple of chips but otherwise in good shape. Most of the sticker remains on the front denoting that is was from the 1939 exposition. There is a little hardened sap or tar on the sticker. It is about 17 inches long and about 5 inches wide.
