STF is based near Dayton, Ohio and is comprised of Tim Mallon (lead vocals/guitar), Wes Claggett (guitar/vocals), Dave Runyan (bass), and Terry Barga (drums). They began in late 1997 under a different name and with a few other members. As some band members left the group so did the name of the band. STF which stands for Strength To Face, is emerging as a rock band with a warm, but often aggressive, emotional sound and thought provoking lyrics that give them a promising future. stfade.gif (17945 bytes)

 

Motivation and Dedication are words that describe STF as they are always striving to improve as a band musically and in how to relay their message of hope to their audiences. The band has had difficult times since they began as well as times of smooth sailing and success similar to the lives of people everywhere. The message is one of hope found in Jesus who gives power to face anything life may bring!

Influenced by various bands, STF will have a great influence on audiences everywhere. STF is playing more venues each year and hopes to continue to play out and go as far as they can as a band. They play music that they personally enjoy and that gives them a style that is their own.
