This is a set of 11" Souvenir Dolls from Ireland.  They are dressed in Irish clothing complete with hand knit stockings. The girl's hooded cape is worn over a white linen bonnet, typical of late 19th Century dress.  This information comes from the book "The Complete Book of Doll Making and Collection" by Catherine Christopher.  (Book is not included) Note these dolls were stored in Pittsburgh and there is old coal dust on them.  See photos.
Note, the girl's shoe is damaged. Caution that it does not fall off.  Both have sleepy eyes that close when they lay on their backs.  A great couple as a pair of dolls. I am selling them as a set.
