This HERITAGE VILLAGE COLLECTION - "TRIMMING THE NORTH POLE" handpainted porcelain accessory, part of the Department 56 collection, appears to be in MINT condition in its original styrofoam and paper sleeve. PLEASE NOTE that the sleeve shows some wear.  Additionally, we see a white area on the garland under the North Pole sign. We have seen a similar marking on photos of others of these items - it does not seem to be a chip but perhaps part of the manufacturing process.  We ask that you view ALL photos and contact us with any questions.

This porcelain piece is beautifully detailed and stands approximately 2.5" tall.  The base measures approximately 2 1/8" x 1 5/8".  This accessory was first manufactured in 1990 and retired in
1993.

"TRIMMING THE NORTH POLE" is Item #5608-1 and shows two elves putting the finishing holiday touches on the North Pole sign as a little bird oversees their progress.

A lovely item to add to your existing layout.
