Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy on-set photograph from the popular 1960's WWII-themed comedy, ON THE DOUBLE, released in 1961 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Melville Shavelson. At the time of the Invasion of Normandy, an American soldier (Danny Kaye) is asked to impersonate a British General in order to confuse the Nazi spies and assassins in London. The cast includes Wilfrid Hyde-White, Margaret Rutherford, Diana Dors, Allan Cuthbertson, Jesse White, Gregory Walcott, Terence de Marney, and Rex Evans.
The image features an interior on-set shot inside of a soundstage on the Paramount lot and depicts star Danny Kaye as he warmly hugs his leading lady, Dana Wynter, who is sitting in what appears to be the sound mixer's chair with a mixing console and a copy of the script nearby. It is in very fine condition with light signs of wear on the lower right corner. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, writing, or other flaws.
