This is a beautiful vintage cocktail ring signed by Uncas Manufacturing Company with small marquise cut faux Opals and clear rhinestones set in a gold band. It has five (5) pinkish/white gemstones and adjacent to the opals are five (5) sparkling rhinestones in an elevated setting. The inside of the band has the Uncas signature logo of a letter U with an arrow through it and the number 5 for ring size, although on the photo on the ring mandrel it appears to be closer to 4 ¾ depending on how it is turned and placed on the mandrel. I don’t know what type of metal this is made from, but I am guessing it is gold plated over metal.
This ring is from the 1960s and was one of the most popular rings produced by Uncas. The company was formed in Providence, Rhode Island in 1911 and became the largest producer of costume rings. They still exist today.
This ring is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. It is a quality ring and all stones are intact. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.
This would be perfect for anyone who has the Opal gemstone as their birthstone. It has an elegant look and would be beautiful to wear for a fancy evening out or with your favorite pair of jeans.
