Lovely white Imari porcelain cups with a beautiful form design that bears an impression around the upper cup and raised vertical lines that begin at the swooped point of the black border, bright gold around the upper lip, on the handle and around the rim of the base, decorated in a pink floral pattern around the upper cup with a black decorative border at the rim.
The lovely Imari porcelain saucers show a complimentary form of short bevels to each inner swoop of the scalloped heavily gold-trimmed edge, with elegant black to the raised lip, gold-trim to the inner black border, contrasting white to the center where a round inset is the perfect size to hold the cup in place.
Each cup is three inches high, three and a half inches across at the mouth, and weighs 6 ounces.
Each saucer is 6.5 inches in diameter and weighs 6.5 ounces.
(No chips, no cracks, no wear marks).
Fine with glossy glaze, set of 5 white, tea/coffee cups with bright gold trim to the rims around the base and to the handles, with rich black border above multi-toned pink flowers and buds on delicate green vine stems and leaves, the outer cup is styled with 8 vertical bevels and an inset ring for easy gripping; together with 5 fine glossy black with white center saucers with bold gold trim to the scalloped edges and to the inner circle; all with brown house illustration insignia and "Gear, Victoria's Garden, Arita, Japan" to the underside.
