Dutch Boy and Girl
Antique Pair Glazed or Varnished Dutch Boy and Girl on a base. Figures are wearing costumes suggestive of Volendam in North Holland in the mid-1800s. Perhaps a good clue to the age of these considering that many chalk figurines that were glazed or varnished, were made during this period. Varnish or glaze coated and is very fragile as can be seen in the pictures.
There are no marks or country of origin labels to be seen.
The condition is very good without chips etc. Just a little paint loss on the bases.
