Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1920's auto racing-themed silent film action drama, THE ROAD DEMON, released in 1921 by the Fox Film Corporation and directed by Lynn Reynolds. Desert cowhand Hap Higgins (Tom Mix), trades his horse for a broken-down automobile and soon transforms it into the fastest racer on the west coast. On the way to Los Angeles, he indulges in racing with Luther McCabe (Lloyd Bacon), a champion driver, and arouses the interest of his friend, Patricia O'Malley (Claire Anderson), whose father represents a large automobile concern. In the final race, Hap garners a foreign contract for O'Malley and the hand of his daughter. The cast includes Charles Arling, William Elmer, Charles K. French, George Hernandez, and Lee Phelps.

Featured on the verso is light purple ink is a William Fox rubber stamp with credits from the film. It is in very fine- condition with a small crease of varying sizes on three of the four corners. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, writing, or other flaws.
