Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1920's WWI ambulance drivers-themed war drama/romance, THE WHIRLWIND OF YOUTH, released in 1927 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Rowland V. Lee. Nancy Hawthorne (Lois Moran), an unsophisticated English girl reared in seclusion by her artist father, goes to Paris to pursue her studies and there meets Cornelia Evans (Alyce Mills), a worldly-wise American art student, who invites her to a party given for her brother, Lloyd (Larry Kent), and his chum, Bob Whittaker (Donald Keith), both from Oxford. Nancy finds Bob to be the boy of her dreams and they spend a weekend together at a beach, where their mutual feeling gains in intensity during a storm. Feeling himself unworthy of Nancy, Bob contrives to be discovered in an affectionate pose with Heloise (Vera Voronina). Nancy, her illusions demolished, returns to England. At the outbreak of war, Nancy enlists as an ambulance driver and is reunited with Bob on the battlefields of France and they are married before the regiment leaves for the front. The cast includes Gareth Hughes, Charles Lane, and Cullen Johnson.
