- ✅ Up for sale: McIntosh Apple Tree, sent bare root from January through April. Trees are 4-5 feet. (We send to colder states beginning in late March and April) Zone Range: 3-7, Chill Hours: 900.
- ✅ The McIntosh apple is known for making especially good applesauce. This is a large, bright red apple with thin, smooth skin. The crisp, juicy fine white flesh with pink streaks is an old-time favorite in the north. McIntosh apple trees are extremely hardy and very productive. McIntosh apple trees pollinate well with Gala or Red Delicious, and ripen in September, requiring 900 chill hours and being semi-self fertile.
- ✅ Fruit Trees/Specialty Fruits – Sent Early January through mid-May. Northern Cold States – Mid-April through mid-May. If you live in the colder northern states, we do not begin sending there until April.
- ✅ Cold Weather: Delays may occur due to daytime temperatures dropping below 34 degrees. We are currently unable to send live plants to the following states: Alaska, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, South Dakota, Vermont, Wisconsin, Wyoming. If you are located in one of these states, you can still place your order, and we will send it as soon as the weather allows.
- ✅ If temperatures, either in your area or in transit to you, are too cold for us to safely send your order, we will reschedule it to send as soon as we feel it's safe to do so. We look for a period of 4 consecutive days above freezing in your area and ours to avoid plants freezing in transit.
