Being offered for your consideration is this rare original De Soto Automobile Tool Box by Dunlap. I have never seen another like it and have found no others in my searches on the web. The box is made of metal with plenty of scratching and wear to the finish and also missing the leather handle. It has a few small dents with the metal still being strong and sturdy with the surface corrosion being just that, with no weakened corners or areas. The hinges and latches work as they should with plenty of surface rust. The latches for the handle are still strong and well secured to the lid. The box measures 18 3/4" long, 6" deep and stands 5 1/8" tall. A very unusual piece!
