Frank Meisler

Chassidic Dancer or Hassidic Dancer

Metal Statue - the body actually moves

On a marble base

Signed and numbered 136/950 (I think the first number is correct but it is hard to read)

Stands approximately 14-1/4" Tall (to tip of fingers) amd 7" Wide x 6" Deep - The pedestal is approx 4-1/2" x 5-1/2" x 1"

There are some scuff marks on him - don't know if its original or not

The statue itself is 8 pounds

The sculpture, in metal, silver and gold plated, created by Frank Meisler, depicts a Chassidic dancer, his leg in the air, playing the clarinet.  His clothes are typical of the "Klezmers" of eastern europe; who were the traditional musicians at Jewish celebrations.
