Offered here is this Beautiful Queen Size Four Post Bed. The bed has an attached custom silk bed skirt however, the skirt is torn in several places, is quite worn, and will most likely need to be removed. I am unsure of the age of the bed. It originally came from Sri Lanka. It is made of all wood, and has custom metal supports that hold up the sunken wooden slats. The slats could also be fit directly into the frame, for a higher profile bed. The knoll posts screw off as well. The bed frame has large brass screws that give it extra support at the joints. The wood is in good condition, however, there are a few places where the wood is beginning to split, and some of the spindles are loose, and will need to be re-attached. The frame is 74” tall at the top of the knoll posts, 41.25” tall at the center of the footboard, 48.75” tall at the top of the headboard, 24” high at the side rails, with 15” to 20” of clearance beneath the bed, depending on the placement of the support slats, 66” wide, and 91” long, and fits a standard queen size mattress. This is a beautiful bed frame with many lovely unique details. It will be a gorgeous, unique and regal addition to your bedroom.
