The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing, Autographed Novel, Marilyn Durham
Harcourt, Brace, Jovanovich, Hardback, 246 Pages

This is a literary find! Written by the late Indiana writer Marilyn Durham, this novel was published in 1972 and was later made into a movie starring such notables as Burt Reynolds, Sarah Miles, Lee J. Cobb, Warren Beatty, Jay Silverheels, etc.  Taking place in the Wyoming Territory in the 1880s, the story starts with Jay Grobart, a former US Army officer who's about to pull off a train robbery, a crime made necessary, he believes, by a worse crime for which he has spent ten years in prison.  At the crucial moment, he and his accomplices: an articulate Native American youth, a feisty cowhand and a coldly evil bear of a man find their plans disrupted by a woman in flight from her husband.

As you can see from the second picture, the book is autographed by the author to Janyce Anderson, now J. A. Louthain, who went on to write two books herself: Tagger: Alone Along the Mystic River and Ame the Elephant: Terrorized by Evil Mice, which are also for sale (and autographed) in this store, http://stores.ebay.com/Alexie-Apparel.
