Denvis is a man of extremes. He's from the South of Holland and frontman of The Spades, that dirty and very loud rock band that left a messy trail of violence, political incorrectness, broken hearts and broken bottles all through Europe. But now it's time for a change. A couple of months back Denvis quit drugs and alcohol (for those who aren't familiar with the infamous rock star... he was a heavy user of both). He got his girlfriend pregnant, he started drinking tea, he even stopped eating meat. The only thing that didn't change was his devotion to music. He is still a posessed man, hyper active, with twenty ideas an hour. And he made a solo album which he called Comin' Home. We here at Rosa Records never thought that we would ever release one note by the singer of The Spades. But it fits. It's American music and it's great. Pedal steel, horns that sound just as good as those on the old Stax singles, a wonderful organ. On Lover he almost sounds like Jacques Brel, there's a Tom Waits cover. Country, soul, rock, pop, folk and lots of heart and soul and great songs. Tracks 1 Comin' Home 2 All Shot Down 3 Prince Of Peace 4 Yesterday Is Here 5 Lover 6 Comes Another Day 7 Past The Rainbow 8 Beat Me 9 Gotta Get Some 10 Deluded Soul Part 1 11 Deluded Soul Part 2
