PUBLIC OPINION by Walter Lippman                                          American Pelican Books #1, First U.S. pb pr., 1946                    Condition: Solid Very Good                                                                                                                                                              This classic work tells the reader what "pubic opinion" is, how it is formed, how it works, where it fails and how it can be made effective.  Pelican Books was founded in 1937 in Great Britain -- this is the first title of the American edition.  Modest to moderate edge/corner/spine end wear and some lamination wrinkles, but the lamination is virtually all intact, the spine is straight and solid and the binding is tight throughout.  The pages are moderately toned, but there is no interior wear or markings in the book.  Scarce in this condition.
