- marked Tupper 62-14 Farnumsville, Mass.
- Patent 2,264,346 was issued to Earl Tupper in 1940 for a comb having means by which the teeth are utilized to take up and retain liquid such as water or other fluid materials and the provision of a comb having dams and walls for a more rapid, accurate, and even method of applying liquids to the hair.
