He is credited with creating the first bumbling private detective--Florian Slappy, who was featured in numerous plays and film shorts of the 1920s.

End-papers slightly age-toned as usual, minor soil spots to the covers, a touch of fading to the spine, else very good plus in red linen with black embossed titles to the front cover and to the spine; lacking a dust jacket.
