This beautifully illustrated hardcover is based upon a 1948 illustrated pamphlet written by Woody Guthrie and Marjorie Mazia Guthrie (Arlo Guthrie's mother), which was sort of a companion piece to the SONGS TO GROW ON records by Woody, which were published by Folkways Records in the 1940s.  The original songs were inspired by the words and antics of Cathy Ann Guthrie, Woody and Marjorie's young daughter, who died tragically while still a little child.  The hardcover edition features a few b&w photos of Woody (and Marjorie), plus an introduction, dedication and publisher's notes; but is especially delightful due to the artful coloring of Woody's original chalk and crayon illustrations.  And not only are the complete lyrics provided for all 20 songs, but simple tablature as well.  Contents:
