One of the projects assigned to me at Eclipse Comics, during my short 1988-89 tenure, was this short-lived science fiction anthology, adapted from the pages of ISAAC ASIMOV'S SCIENCE FICTION MAGAZINE. And, although no mention is made of my contributions inside this comic book, I recall suggesting the front cover to artist JOHN POUND, based upon EDWARD HOPPER's painting, "NIGHTHAWKS," and John's enthusiasm regarding tackling the homage. The stories were selected by me, as well -- I spent many long Saturday afternoon hours up the coast at Jenner, California (site of ALFRED HITCHCOCK's film "THE BIRDS"), or at the Forestville, California laundromat, devouring issue after issue of Asimov's magazine, attempting to select stories which might translate well to the comic book idiom; and I firmly remember discussing with FRED BURKE his adaptation of BEN BOVA's "SILENT NIGHT." But this issue hit the stands after I had left, and so no credit flew my way. Passing fame, I guess. . ..
