An early change of pace for JOHN BARRY, who up to this period had been largely associated with composing the soundtracks for JAMES BOND and other British spy films, THE CHASE in 1966 had a setting in the American South, and involved a convict (ROBERT REDFORD) on the run from the law (MARLON BRANDO), and also featuring a cast that included JANE FONDA, E. G. MARSHALL, ANGIE DICKINSON and ROBERT DUVALL.  This is the 1998 CD release from PEG Recordings.
