Measures 4-3/16" X 6-7/8", 240+ pp, written by CHARLOTTE PERKINS GILMAN, stated "OPM  0 9 8 7 6 5 4," published by Bantam Doubleday Dell Publishing Group (NY), Bantam Classic paperback #21375-X.

While generally known for her stupendously haunting short story THE YELLOW WALLPAPER, which is a study of a woman slowly drifting into insanity, Charlotte Perkins Gilman (1860-1935) was also an early feminist short story writer and essayist.  Her short stories often portrayed women in desperate social situations, who relied upon their own strengths to resolve their problems, rather than falling back upon the customary formula of requiring help from men and men's laws.  She was an American social activist and reformer, and was the author of many books on socialism and feminist ideals.  This collection is a welcome addition to any progressive library.
