Measures 6-11/16" X 10-3/16", 32 pp, GRAVITY SUCKS written by Dave Louapre, b&w illustrations by Dan Sweetman, issue #29 published 1992 by Piranha Press/DC Comics (NY).

Piranha Press was a short-lived attempt by DC Comics to lure in readers from the growing independent and alternative press movement, which had been gathering steam since the very early 1980s (and, arguably, the underground press comix of the 1960s & 1970s, as well as the earlier mature comic book stories published by EC Comics in the 1950s, plus a handful of publishers in the 1940s, who were publishing stories for mature adults, rather than children).  BEAUTIFUL STORIES FOR UGLY CHILDREN was one of the flagship titles, and lasted for several years, always written by Dave Louapre and illustrated by Dan Sweetman.  The stories, however, are definitely NOT beautiful, and very equally NOT for children (or immature adults).  Each story is very dark, and moody, and depressing, and appropriately grungy -- they are quite well written and illustrated; but you may need a hot shower and a hug after reading an issue.
