For your consideration, here is a Vintage Electric Meteor Nu-Rod Freezer Defroster, no. 201 VP, 120V, made by the Meteor Division of Nu-Rod, Inc. of Monrovia, California.  It has been tested and it heats up fine.  It has some wear on it.  There is a little bit of the finish missing on the top and some spots on the bottom of it.  The cord is in nice shape.  It measures 12 ½ inches long with the handle and 4 1/8 inches wide.  The cord is about 72 inches long.
