Natural Rock / Gemstone Necklace with a real polished Dalmatian Jasper stone in a heart shape on a black faux leather cord, 18" in length (2" extension chain).   The pendant is a lovely dalmatian jasper gemstone in a cream color with spots of brown, beige and black shaped like a heart.

The pendant is on a black faux leather cord rope (waxed cotton) which is 18" in length, with a 2" extension chain and lobster claw clasp. I also have army green, brown, gray and beige cords available if you prefer.

The pendant itself is about 0.5 inch in size.

Makes a great gift!

Dalmatian Jasper is a stunning natural polka dotted opaque crystal, with black and dark brown splodges on a white-to-cream-to-beige-to-reddish-brown background. It is sometimes just called Dalmatian Stone or Dalmatine, and of course got its name due to the resemblance to the coat of the well-known spotted Dalmatian dog, commonly associated with fire houses and fire engines.

Dalmatian Jasper is in the silicate, chalcedony, quartz group of minerals.  It is naturally found and mined in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Dalmatian Jasper crystals are believed by some to have a fun, playful effect (think about a bounding spotted dog!).

Although Dalmatian Stone is often called Dalmatian Jasper, mineralogically it is actually not a jasper. Dalmatian stone is a type of quartz (like Jasper), but it is softer than jasper. It is an igneous microcrystalline quartz with a mixture of other minerals which creates the speckled look.
