Contemporary 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy copy photograph (not a vintage original photo printed at the time it was taken) pertaining to the classic 1920's New York-themed silent film comedy, SPEEDY, released in 1928 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Ted Wilde. Harold "Speedy" Swift (Harold Lloyd), a fan of Babe Ruth and the New York Yankees, saves from extinction the city's last horse-drawn trolley, operated by his girlfriend's (Ann Christy) grandfather (Bert Woodruff). The cast includes Babe Ruth, Byron Douglas, Brooks Benedict, and King Tut the Dog.

Speedy marked a milestone in Harold Lloyd's career, as it was his final silent film (although his next film, Welcome Danger (1929), a sound film, was also released in a silent version). The image features a high-angle shot taken at the Harold Lloyd Studio Ranch in Westwood, California and depicts a quiet residential street in New York City with the film's central figure of a horse-drawn trolley car (the last of its kind in the city) sitting on the tracks. Handwritten on the top of the verso is "Harold Lloyd Westwood Location Ranch - View South - 1923 - 1937." Printed on Kodak paper, most likely in the 1980's, it is in very fine condition without any pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws.
