Comes with handwritten photo album identifier as shown, and additional handwritten identification on the reverse side. Margaret was the child of John Hay and Hannah Bottomley Hay. She was born in 1860 and died in 1938 in Racine, Wisconsin. She was married to Mark Foxwell (1855-1936). Their children included Thomas R., Daniel Donato, Alice Adele, and Rachel. Comments: John Hay was born February 26, 1824 in Alnwick, Northumberland, England and died August 31, 1870 in Raymond, Racine Co., Wisconsin. He was married to Hannah Bottomley Hay. She was born September 16, 1830 to Edwin Bottomley (1809-1850) and Martha Schofoeld Jessop Bottomley (1812-1894). Hannah was also reportedly married to Thomas Brown (1836-1850). Hannah and John had several children including Andrew Hay (1852-1894), Martha Elizabeth Hay Gooder (1854-1927), Edwin Bottomley Hay (1856-1899), Jane Hay Ball (1858-1914), Margaret Hay Foxwell (1860-1938), Selina Hay (1864-1877), Thomas Hay (1864-1954), Henry Dixon Hay (1866-1914), Alfred E. Hay (1868-1914), and John George Hay (1870-1871). Daughter Martha Elizabeth Hay Gooder was wed to William Gooder in 1878. William Gooder was born April 10, 1852 in Dover, Racine Co., Wisconsin and died May 8, 1922 in Phillips Co., Kansas. His parents were Job Gooder (1819-1892) and Ann Haigh Gooder (1814-1898). The siblings of William included Sarah Gooder Cockroft (1842-1912), John Wilbur Gooder (1847-1929), Betsy Ann Gooder Lewis (1849-1912), and Emma Gooder Broxson (1854-1938). Additional Comments: The photo(s) in this listing were removed from a set of three antique albums originally belonging to Newton Henry Bottomley (1880-1967) and his wife Edna May Hay (1887-1976) who lived in Price, Wisconsin. Many of the other album photos, which are sold separately, were taken in Racine Co. Wisconsin and included Bottomley and related families Sheard, Gooder, Hay, Burns, Skewes, and Hoyt.
