Large, pointed fruits measure 6-7" long and 1½" across. The mild yellow peppers ultimately turn brilliant red. A favorite for pickling. Growing banana peppers, also called yellow wax peppers, are a member of the chili pepper family. The banana pepper gets it name because its color and shape looks like a banana.
