Condition: Very Good; minor imperfections, one pencil mark centered to the right of soldier's plume which could be retouched.    Framed in black pebbled surface frame. Framed tightly with no shakiness to framing. There are some surface scratches to frame and waviness to old glass.

SECOND PRINT:   INCLUDED: The Fall of Major Ringgold, General Taylor's Official Report of the Battle of Palo Alto, May 16, 1846.    This 8 page report, with an 7 by 9 inch (including margins) engraving of the ""Fall of Major Ringgold",  cut from the book," The Gem Of the Season for 1849."  Actual picture size measures 4 1/2 by 6 1/2 inches.  This was volume that was put out each year with special features and engravings for the Christmas-New Year Season.  The pages are thick paper.  The rest of the book has become dis-bound so is not included with this sale.
