Description: This Ebony Jet Black Glass rabbit was made by the L. E. Smith Glass Company about 1930, This black glass rabbit has long ears laying down as if forced down by a strong wind. The rabbit is Black Glass, but when held to a strong light, a purple amethyst color shows through the thinner parts of the ears. On one side is a "C" in a circle which stands for "copyright". That is a mark that the L.E. Smith Glass Company used in the 1930s; The underbase is partially ground.
Notes: When held up to a strong light, a vivid purple amethyst color can be seen through the thinner parts of the ears.
Size: It is about 2.5 inches long by 1.5 inches high.
Condition: Not perfect condition. These figurines were crudely made with rough mold marks resulting in flat chips along the top of the ear.
