A significant early Florida guide book with a strong statement about the climate's beneficial impact on tuberculosis. Describes the areas of Florida along the Oklawaha River, about Jacksonville, Gainesville, Lake City, St. Augustine, the St. Johns, and the Keys. First edition with Atlantic Coast Line of Railways ad (rear p. ix) showing schedule in effect as of 1875-76, thus a first edition dating to that year. 

Rust colored boards with gilt-stamped titles and decoratives. Decorative stamped bands on top and bottom. Brown endpapers. 366 pages plus ad section. 7.5 x 5. Numerous illustrations.

I normally ship at three times per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. At end of auction, contact is expected within three days and payment is due within 5 days of auction close (10 for overseas bidders). Non-paying bidder notice after that time and item re-listed. Where possible, Delivery Confirmation (package tracking) is used and incorporated into the mailing price. Tracking is not available on international orders. Florida residents must pay 6% sales tax.
