Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the popular 1950's musical comedy romance, THE OPPOSITE SEX, released in 1956 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and directed by David Miller. In this remake of George Cukor's classic, The Women (1939), Kay Hilliard (June Allyson), a former nightclub singer, married ten years and mother of a young daughter, is informed that her husband Steven (Leslie Nielsen) is having an affair with chorus girl Crystal Allen (Joan Collins), so she goes to Reno for a divorce. After that, Steven marries Crystal, but Crystal isn't true. When Kay hears about this, she starts fighting to win her ex-husband back. The cast includes Dolores Gray, Ann Sheridan, Ann Miller, Jeff Richards, Agnes Moorehead, Charlotte Greenwood, Joan Blondell, Sam Levine, Bill Goodwin, and Alice Pearce. The image features an interior shot of glamorous Sylvia Fowler (Dolores Gray) and a group of other women, including Edith Porter (Joan Blondell) and Pat (Carolyn Jones), listen to a spicy conversation on the other side of the curtain. It is in near-fine condition with piece of clear Scotch tape on the corners; a 1 in diagonal tear with signs of wear on the top left corner and a small diagonal crease beneath it in the border; and a 0.5 in. horizontal tear on the center of the left border which has clear Scotch tape over it. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, writing, or other flaws.
